Meet Miya!

Founder & Clinical Supervisor

Licensed Clinical Social worker

 Miya Bassarath, LCSW

ACCEPTING NEW MINNESOTA CLIENTS

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in NY & MN. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Northeastern University. I received my first Masters Degree in Social Work from Fordham University, Lincoln Center. My pursuit of education and my desire to create change catapulted me into receiving my second Masters Degree in Public Health from CUNY School of Public Health.

Since I was a child I knew I wanted to help people. I feel so blessed that I get to live out my dreams. Throughout college, I was able to participate in Alternative Spring Break and was exposed to other cities and new people while getting to help. My first “adult” job was working in foster care. Rare to say but, I actually loved every minute of it. I worked with the children, the family, and various programs and courts. I wanted to deepen my understanding of one of the areas that impacted many of my families and that was the correctional setting. I have been providing care in the correctional setting for years now.

As I have grown in life, I have come to realize that my “gift” has changed a bit. I have grown from a helper to a healer. Through my own personal experiences, I began to delve further and further into individual therapy. I provide an array of therapeutic interventions that are catered to each client specifically. I later began to receive Reiki as a client and was able to experience the healing experience firsthand. I knew this would be the perfect service to add to my practice. It allows for those who would like to work on healing through a more holistic path. It is also a great combination to add to individual therapy.

I created Anchors of Healing to be able to provide support to upcoming social workers as well as to provide more flexibility to patient care. Anchors of Healing works on the founding principle that all persons have grounding anchors within them to provide strength and stability. Anchors of Healing seeks to help support to uncover those anchors within you.

Whether you enjoy traditional talk therapy or are seeking a more holistic approach, let the healing begin!

Meet Ciara!

Licensed Masters Social Worker

 Ciara Green, LMSW

ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS

Enthusiasm, dedication, desire, and passion—the core qualities I uphold in my practice as a Licensed Master Social Worker.

As a child, unlike everyone else around me, I never knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. Even in college, I still felt lost. Little did I know that what I was meant to do came so naturally. I had always been that friend everyone confided in during times of distress or need. I have an innate ability for empowering individuals. After trying out a few majors, I finally came to the realization that my purpose and passion is to help people.

My name is Ciara Green, and I have over 12 years of experience in social work. I received my bachelor's degree from C.W. Post/Long Island University and obtained my Master of Social Work degree from Fordham University.

Empowerment is my primary goal as a professional in the social work field. I strive to be that person who helps my clients find their strength within, no matter how hopeless they may feel. My communication skills and engaging personality allows me to establish a healthy rapport with every client. Also, I have solid diversity and cultural competency from working with different populations.

I specialize in depression, anxiety, mood disorders, personality disorders, and trauma. I provide an array of therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Strengths Perspective, Crisis Intervention, and Gestalt Therapy to fit the needs of each individual client.

As your therapist, my priorities are to build a therapeutic relationship with you, recognize your strengths, and help you develop coping skills to address your concerns.

The first step is to take the step. Go ahead…invest in yourself.
